Physical Education is taught as a discrete subject through a range of competitive sports and games and legitimate physical education activities such as gymnastics and dance. Over the course of their school career, pupils will have the opportunity to play football, netball, hockey, basketball and rounders and take part in a range of athletic disciplines. Children in Year 5 and 6 all have swimming lessons, taught by qualified coaches. In addition to lessons during curriculum time, pupils have the opportunity to join one of our successful sports clubs, possibly representing the school in tournaments. On Friday 24th January children from year 5 and 6 represented the school in ‘The Road to Wembley’ tournament at The Keepmoat Stadium. The boys showed excellent team work, resilience and sportsmanship finishing 3rd in their group. Well done to all the team! Please see a photo below of the children who took part.
