'People are really friendly here! That makes us feel happy', sums up the views of many pupils. (Ofsted Report 2008)

Welcome to Balby Central from Pete McGuigan, Headteacher.
I have been head of Balby Central since 1st September 2010 and I hope you enjoy looking at our website – something we will be developing and refreshing throughout the year. Creativity is central to our work here – all of us, children and staff, coming up with great ideas, making connections, using our imaginations and pushing the boundaries. |

We try our hardest to do a great job for the children in our school. We try to make learning as exciting and interesting as we can and help children to push themselves forward through building their confidence, supporting them - and challenging them. We work closely with our parents and families and they are always welcome in the school. When we get it wrong, we apologise and find ways of doing it better and we are always on the lookout for new ideas and fresh thinking. But enough of me – here’s what some children say about the school.

"Hi, we are Ellie, Kyle and Jack from year six and this is our opinion about Balby Central Primary school. One of the best things about this school is that when we arrive we are always welcomed into class with a nice ‘good morning’ from the teachers. They also make all of our lessons fun and enjoyable, like our home reading challenge, we always enjoy that. All of the teachers are kind and friendly including Mr McGuigan. Anyway that’s enough from us bye."
