We have been learning to shade, add texture and use our collage skills to produce some amazing pieces of work. Take a look at our gallery!

We also have some fab science and geogeraphy work on show too.
We are super proud of all of of Year 4 children for all the effort and resilience they are showing. Keep it up guys.

Well what can we say, the uptake from our year group for remote learning has been exceptional. Well done Year 4. Here are some pictures of the work completed by some of out Year 4 students.

Katherine Rundell co wrote a book called 'The Book of Hope' with other authors and poets. Our inspiration from our poems, came from the poem simple known as Hope by the poet Anthony Horowitz. This is what we hope for.

We have been learning about the author of the Wolf Wilder and The Book of Hopes, Katherine Rundell. We have written a biography about her life and career. Katherine Rundell still writes intriguing books and poems.

This half term our focus text is the Wolf Wilder. It's a book written by the author Katherine Rundell. The story is set deep in the Russian wilderness and is about a young Russian girl (Feo) who wild's wolves. The artisocrats tame the wolves to have as pets in their posh homes but when the no longer want them the wolves are sent Feo and her mum to make them wild so they can fend for themselves.
We have looked very carefully at wolves and have used our sketching skills to draw wolves in different ways. We have even recreated our own book cover.

This week in Art we have been sketching our figures in readiness for starting our wire sculptures next week. We practised our Iron man poses and our partners identified the different body parts we used to perform our pose.
In Maths this week we have be learning to interpret data. We have used tally charts, frequency tables and pictograms. We have also drawn our own bar charts using our own data sets.

This week in Science we have been learning about solids, liquids and gases. We investigated changes of state to help Willy Wonka keep his chocolate river flowing.
In Writing this week we have produced wanted posters for the Iron Man using persuasive writing skills as part of our Book study approach. Over the past two weeks we have learned many techniques to produce our posters both in written form and using the laptops.
