Physical Education

Physical Education Leader: Mrs K Meade

We enable children to meet their full potential, make progress through their learning journey, increase their cultural capital and develop into well-rounded citizens.

We recognise the importance of physical education and health in every aspect of daily life; encouraging children to be active throughout their education.

Physical activity is not just something we teach in PE lessons – it is part of our everyday school life. From active lessons in the classroom to playtimes, clubs and special events, we encourage all children to move more and stay healthy.

This year, our strategy has been strengthened through joining the ‘Creating Active Schools Framework’, which supports a whole-school approach to physical activity.

Active Travel

We promote active travel to school, encouraging pupils to walk, cycle or scoot to support their health and wellbeing. Children are rewarded as weekly WOW travel winners, earning badges to recognise their commitment to active journeys to school.
