Lyfta

Lyfta: Mrs H Ball

We enable children to understand the world around them to create a more empathetic and connected world. We make learning relevant, engaging, and meaningful for our children, helping them develop critical skills and values to support them in their futures. Our children feel a deep sense of connection, understanding and belonging to a global community whilst considering and understanding cultural and religious backgrounds which are similar and different to theirs.

How we teach Lyfta

When we teach Lyfta

Why we teach Lyfta the

way we do

Lyfta is an online platform which enables children

and teachers to access over 80 immersive storyworlds with 1000+ film, multimedia learning resources, integgrated lesson and assemblies.

Children are exposed to story worlds following characters who live in

different regions and countries - they hold specific jobs linked to sustainability

and children can explore the parts of the story world they wish - they will visit them at home, they will discuss what they see in their native country and will then address

issues that the children feel are the most important.

We teach Lyfta once a week on a Friday morning during assembly time.

Children are the divisors of their own lessons and this lesson allows for much

conversation, challenging one another's

opinions and building on what we already

know.

We want to develop inquisitive and curious minds

and by teaching Lyfta as we do our children can

choose the area of the lesson they wish to investigate. The children can pose questions, explore countries, look for similarities and differences to their own lives in a safe environment.

Children know that they are expected to voice their own opinions and listen

to others respectfully.
