Well Being Support

Inclusion, Wellbeing and Mental Health

Supporting the social, emotional and mental health of our children is an important part of helping every child thrive and reach their full potential.

We believe that positive, trusting relationships are at the heart of children’s wellbeing. We work hard to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, listened to and supported.

Our staff are committed to supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, with members of our team trained as Mental Health First Aiders. Our Inclusion Team provides additional support for children who may need it, working closely with families and staff to ensure that individual needs are understood and met.

We also work with a wide range of external professionals and services, accessing specialist support where appropriate. By working together as a school community, we aim to ensure that every child has the opportunity to feel happy, confident and included, both in school and beyond.

With Me In Mind

With Me In Mind is one of the national Mental Health support Teams who offer online Parent-Led CBT sessions to support parents in supporting their child with managing and understanding their worries.  They also deliver in school lessons for children, covering a range of topics such as Managing & Understanding Your Worries, Kindness, How To Keep Yourself Safe Online and much more.  They also offer 2 different group workshops throughout the year for a period of 6 weeks, this is a targeted level of support that help children develop, understand and manage their emotions, wellbeing and behaviour.

Zone 5 – 19 (School Nursing Team)

We work with the Zone 5 – 19 team who offer 1:1 support for children with their health needs as well as support for worries linked to eating, anxieties, emotional wellbeing, drugs and alcohol and much more.

Doncaster Youth Service

We work with the Doncaster Youth Service who offer 1:1 support for children from age 8 years old who need help managing their behaviours.  They also deliver group sessions for children on a variety of topics such as Healthy & Safe Relationships, Behaviour, Transition, Health & Wellbeing, Identity & Belonging as well as many other topics.

TalkWorx Counselling

We access a bespoke, private counselling service as part of our offer to support children, this can be accessed once many other forms of support have been explored as part of our graduated approach.  Our School Therapist visits school one day per work, providing specialist counselling and play therapy to children who require tailored and enhanced support.
